Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University, also known as Dr. RML Avadh University or simply Avadh University, is a university located on NH96 in Ayodhya , Uttar Pradesh, India. It was established in 1975 by the government of Uttar Pradesh. Prof. Manoj Dixit has been appointed as Vice-Chancellor on dated 25 May 2017. Prof. Dixit is 16th Vice-Chancellor of the University.
The largest display of oil lamps is 301,152 and was achieved by Department of Tourism, Govt. of Uttar Pradesh and Dr. Rammanohar Lohiya Avadh University at Ram Ki Paidi, in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, India, on 6 November 2018.
Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET), established 2000, imparting B.Tech. and M.Tech. degrees in various engineering areas, as well as MCA.
It is a campus of Dr. R.M.L.A.U. situated at some 2.2 k.m. distance.
ABOUT I.E.T. CAMPUS:
Established in April 2000, the Institute of Engineering and Technology of Dr. Rammanohar Lohia Avadh University is the only graduation level technical Institute of Ayodhya district. Institute made a modest beginning from the academic session 2000-01 with two engineering departments offering B.Tech. in Information Technology and Computer Sciences and a PG course MCA.Institute now encompasses five departments in accordance with AICTE guidelines, each with an intake of 60 students. All the departments have adequate, qualified teachers and basic infrastructure in place and are constantly striving to enrich the learning experience. Ever since its inception, admissions to the courses are being made through Uttar Pradesh State Engineering Entrance Examination. At present, lET has two boys hostels and a girls hostel with adequate capacity. Institute also has a well stocked library in addition to the university central library.
